<p>The wealthiest people in India right now are Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who have remained at the top of the list for a few years. If you go back almost ten years, Azim Premji, the previous chairwoman of Wipro, is listed among the top two wealthiest Indians. For more than twenty years, Premji has been included on the list of the wealthiest Indians. Additionally, he has been one of the most giving individuals Indians have ever seen. Azim Premji and his family gave more over Rs 1774 crore last year, according to the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2023. At the age of only 21, Azim Premji assumed leadership of Wipro, one of the top IT companies in India with a market valuation of more than Rs 278000 crore. Although Rishad Premji, the son of renowned Indian billionaire Azim Premji, is now leading the firm, not many are aware of him.</p>

<p>After almost 53 years of leading the firm to unprecedented heights, Rishad Premji, Azim Premji’s son, became leadership of the international corporation. Rishad Premji, who now resides in Bangalore with his spouse and two children, received a drastic wage decrease that practically slashed his yearly income in half from the year before. In the fiscal year 2022–2023 the chairman of Wipro received less than 8 crore ($951,353) in pay. According to reports, Rishad made the decision to voluntarily reduce his salary in light of the poor results at Wipro’s IT services division. In 2019–20, Rishad made the decision to forgo a 31% wage increase because to the Covid-19 epidemic.</p>
<p>At Wipro Limited, which employs more than 250,000 people across six continents, Rishad Premji, the son of Azim Premji, serves as executive chairman. Prior to being named Executive Chairman of Wipro in 2019, Rishad joined the company in 2007 and held a number of positions. Rishad Premji, who has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in economics from Wesleyan University in the US, was NASSCOM’s chairman for the 2018–19 fiscal year.</p>
<p>Rishad serves on the boards of the Azim Premji Foundation, one of the biggest not-for-profit organizations in India, Wipro-GE, a joint healthcare venture between Wipro and General Electric, and Wipro Enterprises Limited, a major participant in FMCG and infrastructure engineering. The Foundation collaborates with over 350,000 government schools in seven Indian states to enhance public school education.</p>
