Valedictory Session of the International Conference Held at NIOS

A three-day International Conference on “Perspective and Innovations in Open and Distance Learning”, organised by NIOS in collaboration with CEMCA from April, 1 – 3, in hybrid mode concluded today with Valedictory Session. The conference has witnessed splendid sagacity and passion on the part of speakers audience members alike. The valedictory session officially commenced with the felicitation ceremony and welcome address by the Prof. Saroj Sharma, Chairperson of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), which was immediately followed by a brief and engaging talk by the eminent educationist from prestigious universities. Prof. Nageswar Rao, the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University, graced the gathering with his presidential address on the theme of the conference in the ‘Valedictory Session’ on the final day.

Furthermore, in accordance with the theme of the day the prospects of International collaboration on ODL mode of education highlighted along with the concluding remarks. The session terminated with the vote of thanks delivered by the Col. Shakeel Ahmed, Secretary of the NIOS as per the attendees the conference was highly enriching and thought provoking. Events like this are necessary in fostering cooperation and participation amongst the educationist and motivated them to work towards achieving the goal of equitable, accessible and affordable education for all.
